Monthly Favourites: September 2017

Monthly Favourites: September 2017

I have been loving a lot this month and here is a roundup of everything that I’ve been loving, whether it’s wearing (makeup), listening (Music or radio), or watching (TV or films), if there’s anything like that haha. I haven’t included every single favourite thing, obviously because that would take forever, just a few bits and pieces 🙂

  1. Dove Dry Shampoo:

I never thought that I would fully adopt dry shampoo simply because I love washing my hair every day. (I feel like that’s almost weird these days!) But I’ve been trying to cut down on washing to make my hair healthier, so I read some reviews and picked up a dry shampoo for in-between days. I am amazed at the quality of this drugstore one! It refreshes and revives while leaving zero residue. It also imparts a subtle, but delicious smell that lasts all day. Perfection.

2. Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water:

I ran out of my usual make-up remover this month and decided to try Garnier’s new Micellar Cleansing Water instead. Micellar Cleansing Water promises to thoroughly remove make up in the gentlest way possible, without harsh chemicals. In fact, it contains purified water and multiple vitamins, giving the skin instant hydration. I am so pleasantly surprised at how this product manages to be so effective (it removes super heavy eye make-up in a single swipe) and soothing at the same time!

  1. L’Oréal Voluminous Superstar Mascara:

It’s hard to even describe how impressed I am by this mascara. This cool product is double sided: one side has a white primer and the other is the actual black mascara. The primer adds instant volume and thickness to my lashes. After a few seconds, I go over the primed lashes with the opposite side. If you’re like me and prefer lush, thick, dramatic lashes, I definitely recommend this product! If not, you can skip the primer and apply as little as you’d like. Did I mention that it neverclumps?!

  1. Budget Planner

The Busy B Budget Book is nice little A5 book that’s firmly aimed at household use for somebody who wants somewhere to keep track of their money coming in and going out – and definitely not at the accountant who will no doubt have more sophisticated ways of doing this. The cover has a nice patterned design, and inside there is a section for each month (January to December, with no reference to year, so it can be used at any time). In each month, you can write in money coming in and money going out; there are separate headings for standing orders, direct debits, etc, and plenty of room to write things in
